The Trench Jacket.......Oldie but Goodie........

Hello my Pepa Lovers!!! Thanks for stopping by and showing your support.

So here is a little history about the trench. The Trench name comes from it's origin as a coat used by the British troops during World War I, to protect them from the weather but even more so, from The Trenches' environment which were networks of narrow and deep ditches that didn't smell very nice. The Trench was created between the 1800-1900's, however, not only Thomas Burberry took the credit for it, but also gentlemen's clothier John Emery, owner of the brand Aquascutum claimed to be the sole creator. It is said that Burberry designed the first sophisticated and classy piece, which has remained a staple in the closets of many.

Now that cooler days are officially here, what better way to keep ourselves warm and super trendy than with a trench! In the photos below, I am wearing a classic design from HM. I am also showcasing a more modern vest version of a trench from BCBG MAXAZRIA. They are both of amazing quality and I truly love the details each piece reflects. I will definitely be wearing these two for seasons to come.

The additional details on the BCBG TRENCH below, such as, the button on the back vent, the sleeveless design and its clean lines give this jacket an untraditional chic vibe. Both jackets have a waist cinching belt which accentuates your silhouette.

The feminine sewn-in ties at the cuff on the HM jacket highlights its delicate flare; sharp notched lapels, gun flaps and back vent are classic details you should look for when buying a trench. As you already know I am a huge fan of multi-use pieces, and I love that I can go for either a casual or formal look.

Now go get trenched in style
