I’ve partnered up with Pinkhouse Boutique to show you beautiful looks for the Spring. I love color because it gives me energy, it makes me feel happy, vibrant and motivated. Warm colors elicit feelings of optimism and happiness. If you know me, you already know that yellow is one of my favorite colors but I also love green, red, orange; vibrant colors that are associated with laughter and evoke brightness, cheerfulness (think of the shining sun). Wearing color all year round helps with my mood, it may help you. I just can't wait for the sunny and breezy days, for now, I will enjoy the extra day in Houston, Texas.
For this look we chose green palazzo pants and a flower blouse with funky green sunnies; color, everywhere. Palazzos are a style of pants I truly love, easy to wear with crop tops, bodysuits, you name it. You can wear them all year round and for Spring/Summer a lightweight fabric is perfect. An interesting fact, the palazzo term derives from the word Palace in Italian which makes you think of traveling. Relaxed and comfortable clothing. These type of pants flare from the waist and are intensely wide at the legs, way more than regular wide leg pants. They can be worn with flats, high heels, espadrilles, it depends on the look you are going for and the occasion. In this case I wore the pants with a flower blouse and thought ummm how do I make this look more funky and casual? so, a knot at the waist created what I had envisioned. This blouse can be styled with skirts, shorts, jeans and style many versatile looks; the fabric is also light weight, perfect for spring and summer, however, in the colder days you can wear a blazer over it or in the case you want a formal look. Versatility is key, and sometimes we can just compliment new pieces with current ones from our closets.
